A clear summary before the full policy.

Introduction

Hitavu is a voice-first AI companion rooted in Hindu dharma. This policy explains how information is collected, used, and safeguarded across the website and mobile application.

Information We Collect

Account details such as phone number, email, and display name.

Language, persona, and product-preference settings.

Voice conversation audio processed in real time, plus text messages and conversation history.

Device, analytics, and crash information used for reliability and improvement.

How Information Is Used

To operate and improve the service.

To personalize conversations and maintain continuity across sessions.

To support safety systems that detect elevated-risk language.

To generate aggregated analytics without turning private content into marketing material.

Voice Data

Voice audio is streamed to speech-to-text providers for live transcription. The current draft policy states that audio is not stored after transcription unless a user explicitly opts in.

Transcribed text can be stored as part of conversation history and is governed by the same protections as text messages.

Retention, Rights, and Contact

Users may request access, correction, deletion, or export of their personal data.
